Darlene Snapp-Silfies, Staff Accountant

Darlene is the newest member of our team, joining in October of 2007.  She began her accounting career in 1982 at the foreign exchange desk of The Toronto-Dominion Bank Corporate Agency in San Francisco.  She then furthered her accounting skills at KPMG in San Francisco as an internal accountant/secretary for partnerships and real estate developers tax team during 1986-1990.  This encouraged her to pursue a professional license.  From 1990-1999, Darlene held various accounting positions one of which was a manufacturing inventory manager at Timberline Technologies in Fort Jones  and also Ozotech in Yreka while she was going to college. From 1999-2006 she was the fiscal technician for Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office- Jail Division and received accommodations from the Sheriff and Board of Supervisors for her work on the state audit of Homeland Security Grants.

Darlene received her A.A. degree in accounting from College of the Siskiyous and a B.S. in Business Administration from Southern Oregon University.  She majored in public accounting; minored in criminal justice and received Cum Laude recognition.

At Aiello, Goodrich and Teuscher, Darlene specializes in not-for-profit organizations (NPOs) and is affluent in the new 990 form. 

Away from the office, Darlene enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, her four children, Gregory, Richard, Jessica and Cody and her four grandchildren.  Darlene is also a Karuk tribal member.  She currently spends all of her free time preparing to the pass the CPA exams.
