Dee Rhoades, Small Business Accountant
Dee has been with Aiello, Goodrich and Teuscher for over 18 years. She was originally hired as a staff accountant and has since become the firm’s Quickbooks guru. Dee is proficient in all aspects of the accounting software and is our Quickbooks Pro Advisor. She is responsible for software implementation, training and consulting for all of our applicable small business clients. Dee is also fully equipped with an all around accounting background, which includes financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and payroll services.
Dee’s initiation to the accounting world was her first job with Bank of America, right out of high school. She worked in the banking system for six years, beginning as a teller, and advancing her way to the loan department, and finally into the First National Bank’s auditing department. In order to keep this position in the audit department, Dee was required to hold an AA degree and moved to Mt. Shasta to acquire one from College of the Siskiyous, but life, as it sometimes does, got in the way. Dee was offered a position with her uncle as an office assistant, and two years later accepted a job with Diamond Lumber, where she spent seven years in the accounting department. After a small stint with Ron Stevens Architects as an office assistant, Dee noticed an ad in the paper for Aiello, Goodrich and Teuscher, and the rest is history.
Castro Valley, CA was where Dee was born and raised. With an aunt and uncle who had two daughters her age living in Dunsmuir, Dee would frequent the area for every Christmas and Easter vacation and opening day of trout season.
Although Dee is not involved in any service clubs, per say, does being a registered Democrat count? She is also a member of Ducks Unlimited and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. In her off time, Dee’s favorite activities include hunting, gardening, quilting and reading. Raising two grandsons, Jay and Jeff, and keeping track of her husband, Ron is a full time job in itself!
With so many favorite AGT memories to choose from, Dee could narrow it down to these: Lynn splitting his pants while he was demonstrating how to hurdle chairs in the conference room, climbing Black Butte with the team during a slight hurricane, telling Dorian he had an unexpected client on April 1st at 4:45PM and then seeing his expression when he realized it was an April fools joke, watching Kim decapitate her piñata at her anniversary party, the lake Siskiyou patio boat trip and finally, serenading Lynn with AGT’s version of his favorite song, “Born to be Wild.”
