Steve Drageset, Partner
Steve began his career at Cal State University Long Beach, where he acquired his B.S. degree in Business Accounting in 1984. Steve passed the CPA exam in 1986 on his first try! McGladrey and Pullen offered Steve his first professional position as an audit manager from 1984-1990. From 1990-2003, Steve was a partner with Carlson, Pavlik and Drageset, and in 2003, Steve joined our team at Aiello, Goodrich and Teuscher as our third shareholder.
Steve has 25 years of audit experience and 20 years of tax experience. Steve is the firm’s audit and accounting shareholder, and specializes in governmental and not-for-profit auditing. On the tax side, his specialties include individual, business entities, trusts and estates.
In addition to Steve’s knowledge in audit and tax, he also serves as the office’s “go to guy.” He is proficient in research and technology. If someone is having computer difficulties or needs an extensive tax law researched, Steve is the man. All this, and he doesn't even wear a pocket protector!
Steve is a member of AICPA and California Society CPAs. He is also an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud examiners. Steve was a past president and director of the Siskiyou County Economic Development Council (SCEDC), and dedicated 15 years to Search and Rescue.
In Steve’s time away from the office, he is accompanied by his wife, Lisa and daughter, Emily. As a family, they enjoy RVing and camping together. Steve is also very active in coaching Emily’s various sports’ teams, and helping out in Emily’s school by assisting with math classes.
