He graduated from University of Portland in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. While attending college, Lynn enjoyed running the 110-meter high hurdles on the collegiate track team. He was also voted as a most valuable player by his teammates. Once out of college, Lynn had the pleasure of working at major CPA firms in Portland, Oregon and in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Lynn and his family have loved living in Mount Shasta for the last 24 years where they have raised three wonderful children and enjoy the added benefit of both grandmothers nearby.
Lynn is a Rotarian for the Mount Shasta Rotary. He is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys backpacking and fishing. He is an Eagle Scout and was the Scoutmaster for five years for the local troop. Lynn has climbed Mount Shasta over 15 times, and on many trips was able to teach the local Boy Scouts mountain climbing skills. In 2003, Lynn was honored with receiving the Meritorious Service Award by the Mount Shasta Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his many years of service to the community.
Although this occurred many years ago, it is still one of the favorite conversation topics at the office as well as one of Lynn’s fondest memories, when, in Lynn’s honor, three of the AGT team members surprised him by wearing black leather jackets and sunglasses and took their spot on top of the coffee table. They proceeded to perform and lip-sink to Lynn’s favorite song, “Born to be Wild.” It was quite a performance!
